Sunreef Yachts is a Polish yard in Gdańsk that builds large catamarans to order.
About the brand
The company was founded in 2002 by the Frenchman Francis Lapp on the site of the old Gdańsk shipyard. Sunreef does not build production boats by the dozen; every hull is created to a specific owner's brief, from sailing catamarans of around fifteen metres to superyachts of more than sixty. The range covers both sailing and power catamarans, and an electric drive with solar cells built into the hull and superstructure is available across the models as the Eco version. Since 2024 the company has also built at a second yard in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
In charter
In charter Sunreef appears almost exclusively crewed; bareboat is the exception with these boats. A week costs several times more than a production catamaran of comparable length, and the large hull narrows the choice of marinas and anchorages.
