Prestige is a French motor-yacht brand that belongs to the Beneteau group.
About the brand
The first model, the Prestige 41, was launched in 1989 by the Jeanneau yard, and in 2010 the original model line became a separate brand within Groupe Beneteau. Today Prestige builds motor yachts of roughly 12 to 22 metres, from flybridge boats through larger models with an open aft terrace to power catamarans. Production is split between Les Herbiers in the Vendée and Monfalcone in Italy, where the flagship M8 is built.
In charter
In charter Prestige appears mainly as a flybridge with two to four cabins, where the group on board spreads out between the cockpit and the upper deck. It is paid for in running costs: at a cruising speed of around twenty knots a boat of this size burns more than a hundred litres of diesel an hour, so fuel makes up a large part of the trip budget.
